A student does not turn up for a lesson

The standard waiting time is 15 minutes after the scheduled start of the class.

If the student(s) do not join or attend the lesson within 5 minutes of the scheduled start time, we recommend that teachers try to contact them by text message. For this reason, teachers should have the student’s phone number available.

If the student(s) still do not join the lesson, the teacher should complete one of the following steps as soon as possible (the first option is preferred):

  • Go to the course folder Attendance, locate the triangular icon  for the affected session, and submit the cancellation: Lesson cancellation → Unexcused/Unreported/Late absence of student(s)
